Executive Jet Electronics and Datainthesky

Marshall Business Aviation Centre.

Marshall Aerospace have just redisignated the airport at Cambridge the Marshall Airport Cambridge, set up a new Business Aviation Centre, offering business aviation and corporate aircraft maintenance to London and the East of England. This is an addition to their traditional business of aircraft modification and maintenance across the range from large military aircraft to Cessna Citations.

Executive jet electronics and datainthesky.

Today's "state of the art" in executive jet data systems equals hardware and features that aren't too much more advanced than what's already available on the ground. Bigger classes of business jets, such as Boeing Business Jets and Airbus ACJs, have always had better in-flight system options because they have more space, can take on more weight and generally require larger budgets to complete.

For example, real-time television and high-speed Internet access have been available in very large jets VLJs for several years. High-speed internet access is only now arriving in smaller business aircraft, and the technology for real-time TV is still a little way off. But those highly capable systems for large private jets aren't cheap. A top-end cabin management and entertainment system for a BBJ or ACJ can run between $1 and $2 million.

The good news is, the latest in-flight systems are beginning to catch up with home entertainment technology-in all sizes of private jets. The two biggest changes, are the advent of digital, high-definition, home-theatre-type technology for in-flight entertainment systems, and connectivity, both within the cabin and between the cabin and the outside world.

Next generation systems will allow customers to integrate a wide variety of digital media into cabin entertainment systems that include digital, high-definition monitors. Control of that media, as well as all other cabin functions, will be possible through software-programmable touch-screen seat and remote controls. In other words, an owner will be able to sit in his or her seat-or walk around with a wireless remote control-and select media sources for the cabin's monitors, speakers and headset sound systems, while also adjusting the cabin's lighting, temperature, and window shade positions.

And because the newest CMS/IFE systems incorporate connections and docking stations for a variety of portable devices, those media sources could include CDs, standard and Blu-Ray DVDs,iPods, MP3 players, Playstations, selections from an on-board media library, views from forward-mounted cameras, 3-D, GPS-based moving-map displays, and real-time news and sports text updates.

Satellite technology.

But what about connecting to the world outside the aircraft? Currently, satellite phone technology offers voice and text data transfer (hence the ability to get text scrolls of CNN and sports updates in flight). But internet access is coming. A satellite based system (using the INMAR SAT network) called Swift Broadband has now given jet customers in most mid-sized and larger jets the first access to global high-speed internet. Other high-speed internet options for aircraft owners operating within the US are ground-based systems created by Aircell.

This is an addition to their traditional business of aircraft modification and maintenance, from large military aircraft to Cessna Citations. They have the expertise to advise on the installation of all the latest avionics and IFE upgrades. aviation-database.com has lots of resources for the aircraft industry. The web is a vast source of information. Aviation-database collects the industry into one huge database of contacts. The Business Aviation Centre London is an article provided by Marshall Aerospace based on their newsletter, explaining the developments at Cambridge.

Buy Electronics During the Christmas Discount Sale

Recession is challenging to get its teeth deeper while we are seeking our strongest to defend ourselves from its grips. While recession forced savings are one side, we are nearing Christmas and New Year on the other! Now we cannot ward off the shopping mood which is part and parcel of the Christmas time of year. So how do we pull off? There are plenty of sellers who have publicized Christmas and New Year discount sale.

With the latest technology Online Shopping has become less hazardous and also very popular with lot of rewards and cash back offers that are introduced. Even the leading online merchants have declared lot of discounts and send out discount codes and promo code to their existing customers.

There are some online stores that send out coupons and declare rebate as part of the promotion. Few providers have association and give gains for coupon codes and promotional code supplied their associate parties so anyone having one of their coupon or promo code can avail gains at any shopping outlets of their associates which passes on the buyers more options.

So its our time to verify out on the publicized or commercialized and no commercialized promotions too and avail the ones that suit us fullest. Now is the season to purchase TV, Laptops, computer you always wanted or any electronic gadget with these attractive discounts that are declared just once a year. The more we save this season the better during this recession-hit festive time of year.

Satellite Communication Electronics

The radio communication systems are built using a wide range of satellite communication electronic components. No matter, whether it is geosynchronous or low earth orbital communication satellite, information transmission is a common and very important application. Well, the communication or receiving and transmission of information here take place between the satellite and the earth station. The process where the information is transmitted to the satellite by the earth station is termed as 'up-linking. On the other hand, the process where the information is re-transmitted by the satellite to the selected earth station is called 'down-linking'. Since there is both up linking as well as down-linking involved in this type of communication, it is called two way radio communication. The term radio is included because the radio signals are the thing that make this way of communicating possible. Just go through this article in order to get to know about all important electronic components that are used.

Well, the radio communication systems of course use a huge list of communicating components, which is defined as satellite communication electronic components in order to make these things happen. The up-linking and down-linking processes are taken care by these components. Some well known components, which are commonly employed in all sorts of two radio communicating systems are such as a transmit antenna, a transmitter, a receiver antenna etc. If one of these electronic components fails to perform the assigned tasks, then it becomes quite difficult to achieve the task. In fact, the best way to grasp the picture of this type of communication system is be realizing the walkie-talkie. You would have noticed that in modern radio communicating systems, both receiving as well as transmitting the signals is carried out by a single antenna. In fact, receiving and transmitting radio signals is the basic and very much important function of radio satellite antennas.

In addition to these electronic components, there are also some simple components used for building radio communicating systems. These systems also use various types of electronic switches. The function of these switches is to switch on the down-linking, uplink signals. The switch on and off process will take place according to the destinations. The black-box is what helps the two way radio communication systems to identify the destinations. Those destinations with regard to the down-linking signals will also be identified by the black-box. All sorts of satellite communication systems will require electric energy to perform their functions. This is the reason why these systems are given with one or the other sources for continuous power supply. However, the structure or the format of arrangement of these electronic components will differ for each type of satellite communication system based on certain factors. One such major factor, which highly determines the structure of electronic components, is application i.e. for what purpose or where the satellite communication system is used. However, as mentioned before, in almost all cases, the component requirements for building satellite communicating systems will be the same.
